Take a time out from the headlines and gather your loved ones for a (virtual) Easter Long Weekend celebration featuring world class food & cocktails.
Whilst our plans for Easter 2020 have been put on hold, it’s more important than ever to find ways to connect with our loved ones and share a smile over Easter. Here’s Cocktail Porter’s guide to celebrating our very first Virtual Easter Long Weekend together.
Find your tribe
Easter Long Weekend celebrations are typically about bringing family & friends together for egg hunts, delicious food, long weekends away by the beach & sunny picnics. Whilst we are all hurting from not being able to spend this precious time together – we can take charge and find new ways to connect and share fun times virtually.
Check up on your friends and family and gather everyone together who might want to join you for a get together over Easter. First, share with your friends exactly when you would like to catch up. Are you planning a virtual Easter Friday dinner or a long Easter Sunday lunch? Once you have your crew and plan, send over an invitation to join you via Zoom or House-party (the latest app to virtually bring together friends!).
What’s to eat & drink?
Every great party or celebration includes some incredible food & cocktails. Send a round of Easter Bunny Espresso Martinis to each of your family & friend’s houses to shake and pour into a iconic Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunny cup. Looking for some tasty treats to have with your cocktail? Simon Johnson’s cheese & treats hamper will keep you going for the couple of hours you have together sharing stories and laughs.
Espresso Martinis not your thing? Perhaps a round of Gin & Tonics will keep the conversation flowing.
Music & Tunes
Music helps everyone to loosen up and enjoy their cocktail shaking and time together. Find your favourite DJ on mixing.dj and have them take care of the background track. Here’s our favourites:
There’s a lot you can do together online to liven up your chat. Become the unofficial moderator to ensure everyone gets a chance to speak and suggest a few fun ways to keep the call on track. Our favourite virtual games are Cards Against Humanity, Chips & Groc & Texas Hold Em.
